Forget what you know or have heard about The Art Guys. Address them as artists who are constantly reshaping the intellectual boundaries of their work. Where ideas are paramount and humor is serious business, expect something fresh, novel, original, strange, unaccustomed, unfamiliar, unheard-of, unknown and unprecedented from The Art Guys.

McClain Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work from The Art Guys, Jack Massing and Michael Galbreth. A collaborative duo for over 25 years, The Art Guys have been fearlessly driven by the process of making art, its materiality, and the experimentation that goes along with it.

A highlight of the exhibition is the newly completed Forever Yours, a pair of life-size bronze replica busts of The Art Guys that will eventually house the cremated ashes of the artists; and in the spirit of the New Clichés, The Art Guys will also sell their trademark name, What’s in a Name?.  Other works include collage, conceptual drawings, large-scale match drawings, sculptures and video sculptures. The exhibition aptly summarizes The Art Guys' oeuvre with work firmly rooted in the present.
